All psychotropic medications can have adverse effects. Buspirone is a fairly mild antianxiety medication. You didn't mention your dosage, but it usually has little effect under 30mg daily (divided doses). You should probably give a try for a week or two and watch for any adverse effects. You have 4 weeks. If it isn't for you, you should know before then. Good luck to you.
