So the last few days I've been feeling pretty down. Actually feeling hopeless and sad, not just anhedonic(which in someways was a relief). I thought maybe it is because we had to discontinue my abilify trial a while ago. So i thought I'd see if ritalin I had around would help, since it can boost dopamine like low dose abilify. Within an hour I was feeling better. I dosed a few times through out the day. It made me kind of hyper and had a harder edged feeling. No euphoria or anything. Anyway I last took one around 8 and now that its wearing off I feel better which is surprising. Its like I still have energy but not with that wired forced feeling while still feeling hopeful. So back to baseline.
I think its safe to say ritalin isn't a good drug for me. I guess it can pull me out of a total sh!t hole, but it is a very artificial feeling.
I don't think I will do this tomorrow. It was interesting to see that I feel better off this drug than on it.
