I imagine that there will be quite a bit of resistance against that from happening because of its reputation as a street drug. It would be a true injustice if ketamine were withheld from sufferers of treatment resistant depression because of its potential for abuse. Hopefully, scientists will isolate the mechanisms of action of ketamine and come up with more targeted drugs.
