I've been meaning to write about my amazing success with 10grams (a whole lot!) of Phenylethylamine a daiy in divided doses over the past 3 months. It has had a profound positive effect on my mood, anhedonia, ADHD symptoms, and less so, but still positive, effect on cognitiion and executive dysfunction.
I am bipolar 2, on 9 meds (cymbalta, lithium, seroquel, selegiline, memantine, T3, savella, focalin, agomelatine)m and about 25 supplements, and i have dealt with a severe depression that lasted 2 years from 08 to trhe beginning of '10. I had 22 sessions of bilateral ECT last year, lost my memory fo the previous year, and it only had marginal benefit. I also have had 2 courses of rTMS.
I am feeling better than I have in years, i'm around a 7/10, and the PEA is primarily responsible for it. I am so happy I found something. IT's a stimulant like Focalin or Adderall, but not as strong, but unlike the stims, it also has a significant activity enhancing effect on serotonin, which makes it more impactful on mood than the stimulants.
It's cheap, available online. The only negative is that you have to dose it 4-6 times a day, it's very short acting, although selegiline, MAOB inhiibotr, does extend the effects of PEA>
I have a few questions. Is anyone else on this board using PEA? Anyone tried it in the past? What were your thoughts, what effect did it have, did yout ry large or small doses, and why or why not did you choose to continue / not continue with it.
SLS, I know i've suggested months ago that you try it. Have you considered it? What are you currently on right now?
I highly suggest anyone who is in a significant depression right now try PEA> The downsides are so limited, and it could change your life Like it changed my life. I have achieved a degree of wellness I never thought I would.
Thank you, PEA.
Love,
