Lamictal and peeling hands

Posted by MistressJes on July 16, 2010, at 16:31:58

Hello all.

I bumped up to Lamictal 125mgs/day rwo weeks ago today. About nine days ago, my hands started peeling horribly. They are a little tender, but they aren't red, don't itch, and aren't blistering. I haven't had any flu-like symptoms. I also developed slight eczema on my thighs and (sorry for this) above my butt. I've had eczema before, so I recognize the stuff on my thighs and above my butt, but the peeling hands I have never had before. Hydrocortisone, lotion, petroleum jelly, none have helped.

I haven't been able to get in to see my psychiatrist yet, but he said it could be related to Lamictal and I need to talk to him when he comes back on monday.

Has anybody else experienced this? Did it go away? I don't think it is SJS because the only symptom I have is the peeling. If it is related, but isn't SJS, will I have to go off of it? I finally feel good for the first time in a year, and I'm so scared I'll have to give it all up on account of a stupid rash.
