I think it would depend on "style" of the psychotic depression, whether the person was bipolar, etc. I read somewhere that lithium+parnate were good for psychotic depression, but I'm guessing that was some old school bipolar medicatin'.
They used to make a combo pill with stelazine and parnate...1mg parnate per 10mgs parnate. I'm guessing it was for mixed depression, or maybe it was kind of like an amphetamine-less upper/downer combo like the ones so popular back in the day...at any rate, I could see the more stimulating MAOIs being useful in psychotic depression; they apparently sometimes use Ritalin along with neuroleptics in some cases.

I would think symbyax would be the current go-to drug. Amoxapine was for a while. Just based on my own experience, monotherapy with 10mgs or so of Abilify might be a good idea.
