The package inserts often says a lot of things you can't do which you can.
The emsam package tells you you can't cut the patches in half, which you can.
The concerta package tells you you can't spit the tablets which you can.
You can chew dexedrine or biphentin if you want.
You don't need to take medications with food, or at a particular time of day for that matter.
With many meds, you don't really *need* to avoid alcohol.
Some meds work fine "as needed", even though they're supposed to be taken regularly.
Expired medications often work just fine too.
Anyhow, often the inserts are not set in stone.
