I'm currently on Effexor XR 300MG which helped me immensely but then started Remeron 15MG for 2 weeks and I'm now on 30MG. It puts me to sleep right away and I don't seem to wake up as much at night but I do have some crazy dreams. I found that I have more difficulty waking up with the 30MG and I seem more out of focus and lazy with 30MG than the 15MG. Should I give it some more time? Or should I just stop it and deal with where I was with the Effexor? Effexor was the first thing that helped after numerous meds over the past 5 years but I thought I could feel even better with the California Rocket Fuel combination..... maybe I'm wrong?I don't think you can fully evaluate the antidepressant potential of Remeron until you reach a minimum dosage of 45mg. At that dosage, the sedative side effects begin to dissipate.
