My understanding is that low doses (5-10 mg/day) of Selegeline require no dietary restrictions and can be added cautiously to almost any AD regime. I did just that recently when I hit a bad patch and needed something fast-acting: I took 10 mg/day (oral) for 4 days, then cut back to 5. Only side-effect is a little physical shakiness.
Although there are no food restrictions at this dose, use great caution with cough/cold remedies. I knew pseudoephedrine (Sudafed) was a no-no, but was surprised to discover (luckily before I had taken any) that DM cough mixture (DXM, dextromethorphan) has caused sudden fatalities with even low doses of selegeline. Phenylephrine appears to be safe -- hard to find, but it's the only decongestant in Dimetapp liquid.
