I get the impression that dose escalation is less common with methylphenidate than amphetamines.
Jeez my doses seemed so low now. I was told to take 5mg 2x a day and felt nothing just some energy/increased heart rate at first. Maybe you really need like 10mg 3x a day or more. Do you notice something right away or does it take a few days?
