> I took 30mg of parnate last summer after being hospitalized with severe suicidal depression and felt fine within 48 hours. Now, nine months later, I am having problems with depression again. Sleeping all the time, not eating, crying. Some of it is situational. I just lost a job, am moving across town. But I'm scared. The depression I was in last summer was hell. What have people used to augment parnate? I'm going to call my p-doc this week and see what he says. Would it help to double the dose? I know 30mg is a low dose.
Your dose is to low. I would add 10 mg at a time. Add 10 mg every 5 days so you don't get a hypertensive crisis. But 30 is the bottom of the therapeutic dose. At least go up to 60. But if it works at a lower dose stay there.
