In reply to Lorazepam (caused dysphoria ) with Lexapro taper, posted by Vic80 on May 2, 2010, at 5:06:51
You might feel better if you stop the daytime doses of lorazepam and just take 0.5mg to 1mg at night for sleep. Do not take lorazepam for more than a couple of weeks unless it is absolutely unavoidable. Physical dependence can develop very rapidly.
> Rx: Lexapro 20mg -> 10mg (felt great for 4 days then the madness started), upped it back to 15mg, now tapering down - 12.5mg to last till another week.
> Lorazepam: Basically Rxed to aid sleep onset, then rxed for 'anxiety'(pdoc calls w/d symptoms as rebound anxiety!)
