Enigma,
I don't think anyone will be able to sort through your entire med history. Mine reads like yours, but showing it to anyone, would make their head spin, so I just have it for my own records in the venet I have to recall what meds I took when.
You may want to try and simplify what you are asking others to help you with.
Sometimes it makes sense to try them again, at a lower dose or in combination with other meds, etc. Is your doc an expert with medications or can you be referred to someone that is?
How many times have you been hospitalized? Has anyone ever suggested ECT or another therapy, other than meds.
I'm kind of surprised you were on any stimulant meds at all whe your diagnosis is bipolar, correct? What is Saphris...I never heard of that?
I think your situation seems so complex you might need to start over and retry some meds, but at a much lower dose to start. Many of the mfr starting doses are just too high and it sounds as though you have a sensitive side effect profile. I had the same problem and always took lower doses to start and usually as the ending dose too.
Are you able to do any form of physical exercise at all? When I push myself to do something, it does make a difference and I am one of the worse procrastinators when it comes to doing anything physical. But it definately is one part of the puzzle in depression. Especially if you're not working since your body is not getting enough stress from a job or other outside activity. Staying at home is definately not enough activity to tire oneself out. If you're tired, it is probably from inactivity, as doing nothing is as tiring as being very active all day long, except you lose muscle mass and become weaker and weaker. I would encourage you to try and do something physical at least every other day. When I force myself to do something I always feel better after doing it. But to start something and stay at it for at least 20-30 minutes feels like an eternity. I know since if I do nothing I am more tired when I lay around and do nothing. THat is not enough effort for being alive. OUr bodies were meant to work, not be immobile.
The stress from my last job was so extreme, I would practically pass out every night without even trying. That was almost too much of the opposite and I would not recommend that but try and find a medium, where you get some benefit from activity. Start slow and build up, you will feel better, it is impossible not to.
Meds can help but overall life sucks and for many of us, we have to force things to happen, since obviously we are not blessed with good mental health and the only way to get out from under that is by forcing yourself to get better. It never happens on its own. Waiting for pills to do their magic can be very frustrating. The only reason that I am alive today is that I took the fight into my own hands to try and get help.
Hopefully you can get some advice here that can get you out of the rut you are in. You owe it to your kids to try and get better. That can be the best motivator of all. Good luck in finding some new ways to approach your situation.
