I was on a combo of Nuvigil and Phentermine and nope, no help and yes, I was tired at times. I just saw my neurologist and got adderol and Imipramine or tofranil for the cataplexy. I have my fingers crossed.

This supposedly is called Cataplexy therefore, I was given the Imipramine. Get a second opinion. Also when you did your sleep study, did you stay the next day and do a multiple sleep latency test? The average individual takes 90 minutes to go into REM. The naps they have you take are only 20 to 30 minutes. If you are going into REM within that time,there has to be something going on. I've had about 5 sleep studies already, and seen two different sleep doctors over the period of a couple years. I've also seen a neurologist. I don't really have symptoms of cataplexy. During my MSLT I did go into REM rather early on a few naps but it wasn't short enough, or frequent enough to get a clear diagnosis of narcolepsy.I've been on Provigil, Nuvigil, Vyvanse, and Concerta. They all make me feel good for periods of time and then I go down to being more tired and depressed. They're unpredictable.
