Hi bleauberry. I remember you too. i hope you're doing well.
I haven't really experimented with dosage since I started taking it four and a half years ago, but my guess is it's somewhere in between 12.5mgs and 25mgs.
I do think there is a very small therapeutic window though. I almost gave up on it. When I first started taking Solian I got all the way up over 100mgs. I didn't give it enough time at a low dose. It started making me really sleepy, and it wasn't until I got down to a smaller dose that it started working. It was a very quick and noticeable response. It was within two day my brain felt like it was 'normal' again. It makes me feel a little better knowing that I have some sort of problem related to hypodopaminergic function.
I'd be curious to get some smaller dose pills to experiment more accurately with the dosage. I have 200mg pills now. I am able to order over three years worth of medicine for a little over $200.00. I wonder if the dose could make that much difference on mood. I have good days and bad days, but I attribute that to just a normal functioning individual with the usual ups and downs of life. My mood has never once gotten off track so bad as the way I felt before Solian. Another huge difference that was really noticeable on my mood was eliminating alcohol. I wasn't an extremely heavy drinker, but had my nights. Stopping alcohol has played a big part on improving mood. I personally feel alcohol does more harm than known to people susceptible to psychiatric problems.
I take my Solian in the morning usually after I get out of the shower.
Best,
TomG
