> i had four glasses of wine two nights ago while on prozac and my akathisia has returned with a vengeance; it's so bad that i can't leave bed. i just lie around, writhing. i'm meant to fly out on monday, but don't know how i'll possibly manage in this state.

However, i also had massive sugar cravings and carb cravings and was binge eating etc. so that (and will power) has worked for me by stopping them. If you are hypoglycemic alcohol is a bit of a no no as well i think. Basically i think sugars/carbs can excaberate akathisia (a lot of the symptoms of hypoglycemia correlate with those in akathisia) and this may or may not be the case in your situation?
Mganesium (not oxide) is always a good (and relatively safe) bet i think.
