I believe I have read that it can be dose related, higher doses of wellbutrin can be associated with Hypertension. And if you have HTN, it may be contraindicated. I'm just going off the top of my head right now in that XL is extended length so, unlike Wellbutrin (non XL) version,there is probably a higher risk as the XL has more medication loaded into it to be released over time.
IN any event, your doc will know if it is not the drug for you based on your history, right? I take Wellbutrin XL 150 mg, but if anything my BP can use some elevating, as it is usually too low.
Lucky me, unless I start to pass out when it is really low...then I just lay down in time to prevent a fall.
