In reply to Shrink says I want sympathy, posted by Guy on February 20, 2010, at 21:05:32
> In desperation I went to a new shrink for a one-time med consult. After reading my file, which documents 14 years of extreme suffering (anxiety) and suicidal ideation, he suggested that I am not getting better because I want sympathy. He also suggested that the times I told doctors about my suicidal urges were actually subconscious attempts to draw attention to myself. This really pissed me off as I know the last thing I want is sympathy and attention. What I really want is for the pain to go away. He then proceeded to write me a script for 4 mg. of clonazepam, so I guess I can't complain too much. Still, I think I have just about had it with psychiatrists.
That psych needs a lead enema.
