Most p-docs can't even prescribe buprenorphrine. You need a special FDA prescribing number, need to take a special course, can only have a limited number of patients using it. You can do a search on suboxone prescribers on google. The FDA has a website of licensed prescribers. My experience, as an ex opiate addict, was the the whole suboxone prescribing industry is hopelessly corrupted by money. Prescribers are so rare, they won't take insurance, charge $300-$400 for an appointment, etc.
