I hate to be declaratory, but combining stimulants is a bad idea. Only one stimulant is used, but have a different delivery system: for example, Concerta in the morning and Ritalin (both are methylphenidate) in the afternoon. Or Adderall XL in the morning and Adderall (regular) in the afternoon. Also, I've discovered on my own that I needed a brake on the Ritalin/stimulant tail. I'm taking Toprol XL 25 mg (a beta-blocker) in the evening to reverse Ritalin's side effects of insomnia and excess energy.
