> It's not only a focus-thing.
> All ADDers have serious emotional issues, that are in fact part of their desease amd not just a ''comobirdity''.

> For many people immedeate-release formulations like Ritalin or Dexedrine do improve functionality better than these new, exspensive,NOT euphoriant pills and patches.
> Maybe this is just BECAUSE the mild euphoria MAKES THE JOB,at least for a major part of the sufferers?
> What do you think?I suffer from depression and ADD and I would say that the Methylphenidate definitely helps the depression a little bit and certainly helps focus. I'm a recovering addict and cocaine was a big part of my repertoire. But I have 17 years clean and I've been taking stimulants for ADD for the last 5. I'm not going to say the mild boost has never had a little bit of a pull, but I've never taken more than directed. Dopamine is directly related to motivation and I do think that lack of motivation is a part of ADD.
So in short, yes, I do think there is some crossover in feeling good and focus. As long as it's being monitored, I think people should be allowed to find what works best, be it sustained or immediate release.
