I took both these drugs Ritalin 40-60mg/day and Concerta 18,36,56mg at different time-periods.
In my oppinion Concerta can't be compaired to IR Ritalin.
Ritalin was much better for me for motivation and mood.
It gave me a sense of optimism.
Concerta made me moody, with no motivation, very pessimistic and robot-like.
It gave me agitation too, witch Ritalin didn't.
I think that's why it's considered much less ''abuseable'' as an euphoriant and is more easilly prescribed.
In my country,Greece,it's almost impossible to get a prescription for stimulants, ecspecially for adults for add (or any kind of diagnosis or treatment for adult add).
I searched 10 long years to find a doctor to prescribe it,but I discontinued shortly.
Doctors never prescribe Ritalin here, they think it's pure evil.
I think most of them don't want to get trouble with stupid rigorous drug-laws.
Some of them are simply retarded! (sorry,I'm really depressed this moment!)
Can you get a prescription for Ritalin/have you ever tried it?
