I was once watching a program on suicide. There was a situation where a woman finally did not intervene in her husband's suicide attempt which was successful. She said he was in such mental agony she decided it was the humane thing to do. He had tried just about every type of med,ect treaments and talk therapy available for a number of years without success. He had also made numerous suicide attempts of the years. This time they said their goodbyes and he took his gun and drove to some remote area where the act was done.
Did his wife make the right ethical decision in not intervening?
