If you're open to trying natural supplements, magnesium citrate might be worth a shot. (Most people don't get enough magnesium in their diets anyway.) It can cause diarrhea if you take too much, so you'd want to start with a small dose first and work up as tolerated. There are some old posts about it if you want to search the archives. I was a life-long insomniac, and I found it very helpful. Just make sure you avoid magnesium oxide because it isn't absorbed as well. There are other forms too (I also like glycinate), but I think citrate is the most popular for insomnia. You can also buy some liquid formulations that have both calcium and magnesium. I have used a lemon one by lifetime and it actually doesn't taste so bad. It was nice getting both minerals at the same time without having to swallow a bunch of horse pills. You just take a tablespoon of it. (I think the plain mag citrate might work a little better for my insomnia, though. Might be different for you.)
