teaAt this board and the Administration board you all took me by complete surprise with your support.
And a warm greeting of respect to my other friends here as well...Linkadge, SLS, and forgive me if I forgot someone.
Depression is a monster of evil and we're all in this battle together. Us against it.
One of the posters had a fair amount of criticism. While I respect that, I did not agree with any of it. Any clarification there can be taken up at a more appropriate board. This is not a trial and I'm not on defense, so all is fine.
I had a nasty time with Stablon. The clinical studies are misleading..."few side effects, and weakly pronounced". I actually did feel good benefit on it late the first day, but this med needs to be respected for its potency. If to try it again, it would have to be in much smaller doses. I went straight for the full dose. Mistake.
I get certain benefits from very low dose Nortriptyline. So I think that has to be in my mix. I like LDN, so that is on the table. Garlic, the smelly stuff, yeah. Low dose zoloft is on the table, as is milnacipran. On the backburner if all this goes sour, Parnate stands by for a second look. I'm also really curious to check out Pindolol and/or Buspar with any of the above.
Lyme treatment...either pharm or herbal...just has gotten me nowhere. I Herx badly, so I know something's going on. But I Herx badly on Diflucan (antifungal) also, so there is more to the picture. But looking back at 2009, what were the things I got actual benefit from?
Well, weird, but garlic was one. Also weird, DMSA. I swear, in the middle of chelation rounds I felt good!
AFter psych med poopouts and the beginning of bizarre side effects and sensitivities, the first thing that came up was low cortisol. I thought that was it, but didn't know there was more to come. Next came the DMSA challenge test due to my large amalgams being removed. Very high mercury and lead. So I thought that was it. Then the aweful rash, which led the path to lab and clinical diagnosis of Lyme. Damn. One thing after another.
But looking back, my Lyme symptoms aren't really all that classic for Lyme. But what are they classic for? Mercury. So I think maybe I need to back up and retrace my steps, pick up where I left off a year ago. I did some chelation rounds but removed only a small amount of the metal load.
Just for reference, I had four very large amalgams. I'm talking the size of a third of molar. Big chunks. Not little dots of silver in the mouth, but big wads. One of them was so old it broke in half and I must have swallowed it with food. The ragged edges of it were exposed for at least 2 years before I did anything about it. Nobody ever told me those things were 50% mercury. And heck, dentists used to use that stuff all the time, so it must be safe, right?
Well, with an understanding of the history of amalgams, and the step-by-step process of how they came to be mainstream practice, it becomes painfully evident how zero precaution or testing was put into their use.
I have no idea why I was blocked and it doesn't matter. This site is used for research, this site is owned by Dr. Bob, so no explanation is needed to block anyone. There was something going on above and behond anything in the posts in question. I can do whatever I want with my own possessions, and so can anyone else. I looked back several times to see what I said that was offensive, and I'm sorry, I just didn't see it. Apparently no one else could quite figure it out either. Something else was going on, is all I can assume. But I don't know, and it doesn't matter. More than anything, I got a puzzled grin on my face, talking to myself, "You gotta be kidding, right?" In the big scheme of things...yeah you know me...the big picture...the balanced look...etc...what really counts is that Dr Bob has built a possession of his that is probably the busiest most groundbreaking forum on the worldwide web, so my being blocked is but a grain of sand on a beach. People here learn all kinds of things in a day that would otherwise take a decade to learn through needless avoidable painful experiences. Wisdom is good, sharing it is even better.
Anyway, again, a warm thank you for all your support. Wonderful folks. Awesome, all of you.
