Invega/Paliperidone is the active metabolite of Risperidone. paliperidone is 9-hydroxyrisperidone, i.e. risperidone with an extra hydroxyl group

If you didn't tolerate Risperidone, you may have trouble with Invega.

Have you been through all the tricyclics?

Don't be scared, there are other options such as ECT or medications such as Namenda and Mirapex.
