Marplan has a reputation for being less effective than Nardil and Parnate. It is considered to be a "weak Nardil". I don't know that there is any scientific evidence to support this notion. There are some people who respond well to Marplan whom had not responded to Parnate or Nardil. Marplan is usually better tolerated than Nardil with respect to side effects.
