What works for dysphoria? This is a new symptom for me. I have dysphoria so bad right now. My therapist and doctor has suggested I try lamictal, but i went to 4 PDocs over the past few months and no one would dx me as bipolar. Ive been thinking of trying it as he suggested, have been hesitant, but now, suddenly i am almost at the point of calling his emergency number for the script.
Do you notice a difference with lamictal right away-or does it normally take a while? i know you have to start at 25 mg and work your way up, but does it sometimes help during the initial dosage?
If it takes time, is there anything else that works for dysphoria while waiting for it to kick in?
I'm not taking any meds right now, except have xanax 1/4 mg.. 30 per month as needed.......didn't need them every day but havent been able to sleep at night the past few days so i took more than 1 pill a day so i ran out, have refills but couldnt even get myself to go the pharmacy today. too late now its closed.
i guess i can get the xanax tomorrow, and wait until my next doctor appointment but i don't think thats a med that works well for dysphoria?
thank you
