I am really sorry, I'm not trying to hijack anyone's post, but for some reason the link to the "start new thread" is not working, and I am desperate and worn out just from the whole registration process. I need some input from others who have are or have been on Seroquel because I'm at the end of my rope and my life is falling apart.

About 5 months ago I was given an unofficial diagnosis of Bipolar II and given a trial run of Lamictal which was horrible and I experienced all the rare side effects (facial tics, headaches, swollen lymph glands, etc) and the worst part was early awakening. I was wired tired all the time, not drowsy but like I had been awake for days. Docs weaned me off of it and put me on Seroquel 100 mg to sleep. Seroquel knocks me right OUT but for the past three months it doesn't matter how much sleep I get I feel like I've been up for days! I have had insomnia in the past but this is completely different. Within a two day time span I developed this problem and I have persistent black circles under my eyes, eyes are sunken in and am pale as a ghost. I don't know whether I'm coming or going, my brain is just not working. My M.D can't find anything physically wrong with me so I am wondering if Seroquel could be causing non-restorative sleep? I wish the time frame between the Lamictal and the Seroquel had been longer so I could rule it out better but I was desperate for sleep before, and didn't think it could get worse! I have been dealing with this for three months and can barely take care of my toddler anymore. I am failing my classes and have had to take a leave of abscence from work.

So, to sum it up....has anyone else experienced this same problem with Seroquel? It doesn't make sense to me, because the stuff knocks me out like I said so you'd think I would feel better after waking up. I expected some kind of hangover or grogginess but this is so different. Like major sleep deprivation.

Help! And again, sorry if I hijacked. I just don't know what to do anymore, because the docs don't listen to me.
