In reply to Vitamin d3 anyone?, posted by uncouth on November 6, 2009, at 9:53:14
Vitamin D3 is a must have for most anyone who does not get a lot of daily sun. There are a wealth of studies on D showing that optimal blood levels protect against a wide range of inflammatory disorders. My wife and I work indoors all day and take 6k iu's to get a blood level of around 50ng/l which is in the bottom range of what the evidence has shown to provide the best benefit. Other people only need 1k iu a day to reach that range so the requirement is highly individual.
I recommend anyone who is curious about Vit D watch this video. It is very informative.
