I know how you feel. I do that, too. But on Parnate it is almost gone!!
The Nortriptyline works right away, the first day. So you have some AD in your system during the washout period for maoi. My pdoc had me continue to take the nortriptyline after I started the Parnate. It's worked very well. I have some fatigue so I also take Provigil.
