I'm from Austria..
We also had Parnate many many years ago, but only in a fixed combination with a typical antipsychotic.. trifluoperazine I think. Since a decade this med isn't available anymore and pure tranylcypromine was never approved over here.
I really don't know why.. this is crazy. Something that important isn't available but numerous "me-too" drugs are.. My pdoc also thinks it's ridiculous.
One more question to you: so you never got tired or even calm at the beginning after taking a dose? It has a really pronounced calming effect on me, which isn't completely unpleasant, but it's too much to function at university :(
At the moment I'm experimenting with taking most of the doses at night before sleep like Gayle is trying it.
