noticed you were afraid of weight gain. For me, Parnate makes the TCA's amytript and nortrip. work differently in my body. The TCA's used to make me so TERRIBLY hungry I could hardly stand it. I felt almost crazy I was so hungry,...especially on Nortript. But with Parnate, they don't make me hungry at all. It's such a relief!

Forgot about the hunger part -- if I took Trazodone and made it through the low blood pressure/fainting/nauseating feeling, I could also eat the refrigerator and sometimes escape the drug's usefulness.Suggestion -- take the Trazodone 30 minutes before and -be- in bed.
10mg amitriptyline at night is not going to create any large amount of weight gain in my opinion. It's the lowest dose -- it is actually psychoactive at that dose, so it can give a little lift for people who are mildly depressed, but its not a major amount.
