Could it not cause mania or psychosis for someone with BP disorder, given that it causes dopamine release?

I used to smoke moderate amounts regularly whilst I was in remission on Cipralex (Lexapro). I do think it helped keep depression at bay in some ways, working synergistically with the SSRI.

My guess would be that it was improving my dopamine function and thus mitigating any deficiency caused by the SSRI.
