* Well I might be foolishly optimistic, but I hope so!

> I believe weight gain on Seroquel can happen at any significant amount, 225mg is certainly above that threshold, and I think like a number of medications indicated with weight gain, I believe it is partially dosage related.

* Yes, that's logical. Most other side effects are dose dependant, so why not weight gain? I had been wondering if there was a dose level where weight gain starts. Hopefully, if I'm able to stick with the 150mg, I'll be flying under the weight gain ceiling :)

> I can say that I must continue to take Seroquel until a better arrangement can be found, or possibly risk losing some of my functionality, yet carrying all of the problems, including a primary weight gain issue for myself.

* Yeah, that's seems to be the way of all meds - pick the lesser of 2 (or more) evils. I've tried 12 different drugs over the past 8 years (no anti-psychotics or mood stabilizers before though), none were side effect free - except maybe BuSpar & Clonazepam.

> But as one person put before, they'd rather be fat than be in the worst throws of depression... if I only had (some) weight problems to deal with and not half a dozen things including visual distortions, I'd probably call it a compromise.

*Right. I had some visual disturbances at first, but they seem to have gone. Also feel spacey and groggy half the day, but my aggravation/anxiety/irritabilty have subsided and my mood is lifting. Just need some energy to go with it! I can wait, I am happy so far with the Seroquel & Neurontin combo. Just a little paranoid about weight gain & being on an anti-psychotic.

* Thanks for your input, & best wishes to you.
