I got diagnosed with paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia a few years ago and since then my Doctors have been too scared to let me have an MAOI.
Also, I had on spontaneous hypertensive reaction on Parnate and I had to tell the Doctor in the A&E Dept. (you would call it the ER) what was happening, he did not have a clue. They then tried to inject me with tramadol, which would have given me serotonin syndrome on top and killed me, or i would have ended up in the ICU and had the cheek to complain when I refused the injection. At that point i was discharged still with hypertension as I think they were too scared to do anything, which by the time I got home was even worse. I then took a nifedipine capsule and it was gone in 15 minutes, I should have done that at the very beginning and not went near the Hospital.
It was not a pleasant experience, the worst headache I have ever had, it took me a good 5 days to recover fully.
