in some respects, definitely. i think that has partly arisen from my realisation that meds alone will not save my life, so i am forcing myself to do solitary stuff (exercise, read) that i normally put off. i don't feel a lot more motivated on parnate but it seems like once i force myself into an activity, it's easier to persist with it. my dose is still quite low (20mg) and i'm not quite ready to return to socializing. it also seems to leave me a little fuzzy at the moment, but i blame the sleep deprivation. i'm using seroquel to sleep, but i hope i won't need it once i reach a higher dose, since it definitely leaves me a bit more flat

The only thing I noticed is that on Parnate I feel less tired during the day after a sleepless night, whereas normally I'd be up all night and feel like crap the next whole day. So I guess that's a benefit, but only in my situation of severe long-term insomnia and chronic daytime exhaustion.

I don't feel all that anxious really, but then again, I'd have to get into a very anxiety-provoking situation to be able to answer your question. So far, I feel ok and I have Ativan for emergencies.

thanks for your good wishes; i hope you continue to do well on the med. have you ever had a sleep study done? i don't have a tonne more general anxiety, but i find myself ruminating more, and wrestling with feelings of guilt which i'd begun to suppress. i imagine it's just a transitory effect from the activation i feel on the drug.
