dry mouth

Posted by MoBe on September 14, 2009, at 0:18:29

I am taking ritalin 10 mg 3 X day, and 4 mg mirtazapine plus 200 mg of prometrium at bedtime to help with sleep. This combination has worked very well for the longest time. However, after being medicated for Gabapentin for a pinched nerve, my mouth became increasingly dry. Even now that it has been at least 3 months after discontinuing the Gabapentin, my mouth is still insanely dry. I've used the mouth moisturizer, and the special mouthwash. The only thing that seems to work is chewing gum constantly. Even drinking tons of water doesn't do a thing. The strangest part of all of this is my oral cavity is yellow. My doctor did liver enzyme tests and even tested for carotene and nothing!!!! Anyone ever heard of this?

Thanks for putting up with the long explanation
