I have the same exact issue. I've found the typical anti-anxiety meds to be pretty much useless and actually make it more difficult to socialize. As you found with tyrosine, I've had some success with meds that boost dopamine: Adderall and Ritalin (which I take for ADD) help somewhat; MAOIs work best out of all the antidepressants with Effexor (which at higher dosages inhibits dopamine reuptake) and possibly Wellbutrin being somewhat helpful; and Neurontin and Lyrica both help a bit with anxiety without making it difficult to speak or think clearly.
I've also found meditation to help considerably, perhaps because my inability to speak is sometimes related to my inability to concentrate.
It also improves with practice--as much as I absolutely hate to force myself to speak when I would otherwise be content to just be silent, it does help after a while.
