My dose is #6 10 milligram percocet per day. Severe osteoarthritis left hip with #180 10 milligram percocet per day. Hip replacement scheduled for end of Sept. Script written to last a month.
The docs out for two weeks on vacation. The nurse is taking care of things in his absence.Hip is crumbling every day and pain getting worse.Nurse changes my dose to 5 milligrams and 180 pills. This is cutting my dose in half.
I asked the desk to find a doc to change this script as pain is very severe and can't take a half a dose now.
The nurse went home and the desk said none of the remaining docs could change the script. She claimed there was no notation of my pill strength. Can't believe doc didn't note strength. I said call the pharmacy. None of the docs would be bothered. Every one goes home at 3:00 p.m.
I told them I would not accept the wrong script. So none of the docs could write the correct script. The nurse wrote the wrong strengh and went home.
Medicine is like an assembly line. Scarey how the front desk people and nurses hate their work and are so hostile to patients.
So a nurse has the authority to change my pain med strenth and leaves the office at noon.
No one at the office has the authoity to write a new script.!
Just venting and in pain!!
