Well I have never got fat on an SSRI, everybody is different. What I meant was that more selective SSRIs like escitalopram where binding affinities for e.g. muscarinic, histamine and serotonin receptors are so low that it's not of clinical relevance. Just serotonin reuptake inhibition itself, AFAIK, is not prone to cause weight gain. You often call a drug that targets unwanted receptors "dirty".
