What kind of anxiety disorder do you have?

I would try Pristiq if you have a choice. Many people find Cymbalta fatiguing. All three drugs are potent serotonin reuptake inhibitors. However, I wouldn't want to get too "smart" and try to figure out in advance with certainty how a drug will affect you at this point. You might even consider low-dose Prozac or nortripyline if you feel that strongly about staying away from potent serotonin reuptake inhibition. I happen to like Effexor. It is good for anxiety disorders. Pristiq, the metabolite of Effexor, might work just as well, but with fewer side effects. I can't be certain about that, though. Different is different. Perhaps Effexor has therapeutic properties that Pristiq does not.
