Hi Ihatedrugs,
I think it takes about 1/2 to 1 hour before klonopin hits the system. Maybe you had a panic attack unrelated to the meds? I would think the nightmare and what sounds like a bout of sleep paralysis (don't know the technical term for that) would cause panic rather than meds. (I have had sleep paralysis, esp. after daytime naps.) And like everyone else here, you've got a lot on your plate, and a nightmare is enough to shake anyone. How are you doing now? Hope you get some good sleep.
