I don't know what dosage you are on. You might try one of three things:
1. Stay at the same dose, but split it up more frequently during the day by splitting the pills.
2. Decrease the dose.
3. Switch to Lexapro+Nortriptyline or Zoloft+Nortriptyline.
I liked Savella, but during the first week I did have the roller coaster stuff you described. I couldn't stay with it long enough to see if they would level off. I just loved it so much when it was "on". The side effects for me were too much peripheral norepinephrine stimulation (the bladder).
TCA+SSRI accomplishes the same thing with additional benefits...
-You can customize the amount of norepinephrine versus serotonin in the mix.
-I think two molecules working on two neurotransmitters works better than one molecule working on two transmitters.People in clinical trials who shared their experiences at forums said it took at least a month to stabilize on Savella, and some up to 3 months, but that the wait was worth it.
I know how tough it is when we have to work and have responsibilities in front of people. I have to do that fake job every day myself and it aint easy. So I'm with ya my friend.
