I don't know what dosage you are on. You might try one of three things:

1. Stay at the same dose, but split it up more frequently during the day by splitting the pills.

2. Decrease the dose.

3. Switch to Lexapro+Nortriptyline or Zoloft+Nortriptyline.

I liked Savella, but during the first week I did have the roller coaster stuff you described. I couldn't stay with it long enough to see if they would level off. I just loved it so much when it was "on". The side effects for me were too much peripheral norepinephrine stimulation (the bladder).

TCA+SSRI accomplishes the same thing with additional benefits...
-You can customize the amount of norepinephrine versus serotonin in the mix.
-I think two molecules working on two neurotransmitters works better than one molecule working on two transmitters.

People in clinical trials who shared their experiences at forums said it took at least a month to stabilize on Savella, and some up to 3 months, but that the wait was worth it.

I know how tough it is when we have to work and have responsibilities in front of people. I have to do that fake job every day myself and it aint easy. So I'm with ya my friend.
