Buspar and lucid dreaming - any ideas on mechanism

I am the queen of stopping and starting all of my medications (bad I know, but it's me). Anyhoo, I recently restarted Buspar, which actually does have *some* effect on anxiety for me, but also induces some very memorable dreams.

I do not understand the mechanism of this side effect. It starts with the initiation of Buspar therapy and stops when I stop taking the drug. It's happened every single time I've started Buspar therapy.

I always take Buspar in combination with Prozac.

Any ideas as to why?

Seldom.
