> I've been on 12 different medications in a year and a half. I am experiencing my worst bout of depression and the longest starting back in Sept. I stopped Lamictal 5 weeks. I stopped Celexa 1 week ago. I am currently on Depakote and Lithium until I add an antidepressant to the mix(at least that's what I am expecting when I see my new p doc). My brain already felt screwed up when I was on Lamictal and Celexa. I had a constant headache and often woke up feeling like I had drank too much the night before. Now, I feel like I have a hangover that simply will not go away. It is as if there is this pressure on my brain and it can't breathe normally. I would compare it to a sinus infection, except the infection and congestion is in my brain. When I breathe deep through my nose my head hurts. This is the opposite of what I have ever experienced in the past. And, I'm sure most everyone feels better when they breathe deeply through their nose sending more oxygen to their brain. I feel like the air I breathe in touches my brain and my brain is too sensitive for it. I know this sounds ridiculous. I am in no way at the capacity I used to be when I could articulate ideas better. I look in the mirror and I see the beat up droopy face of someone who is wasted out of their mind and stayed up all night. I'm so screwed.

No, it is not ridiculous. I know and have experienced the same sensations many times. For me, it is a symptom of an exacerbation of my depression.
