Using Effexor to get off Pristiq?

Under doc's supervision I started doing this today. The reason being that they make smaller doses of effexor than of pristiq, but from what I'm reading, it looks like it could be going from the frying pan and into the fire.

Anyone have any thoughts/experiences? Thanks.
