I don't know what augmentors you have tried. If you want to try another one, try to go with things that are not in the same family as what you already have tried. If Nortriptyline and Desipramine have both been tried, forget the TCAs. Even if you don't have anxiety, try Klonopin. Risperdal or Zyprexa offer some unique receptor blocking that can spark life into a wide variety of other meds. Not good by themselves, but often very good with other meds. Synergistic.
And of course the whole lifestyle thing plays into it bigger than we think. You know, that boring stuff like super good food choices, strenuous exercise, regular sleep schedules. I believe that only in lucky cases, temporary cases, or rare cases, does great mental health come solely from pills. We have to give the pills a massively good foundation to work upon, much more so than a healthy person.
