For candace and Phillipa
Hi Thanks for the note! I have had some work done and although my labs were in the "normal range" they were in the lower end of the normal range. We supplemented with a little bit of cytomel for a while and I felt great at first but then felt all jittery after a week or so (like too much coffee) so I went off. I am thinking now the dose was just too high (started at 12.5 mcg then to 25) Maybe I only need 5 or 10? I also have an immune deficiency (IgG and IgA deficient). Is this related to Hashmitos? I wasn't on an antidpressant at time so there was nothing to augment which in hindsight I am thinking may have been why it didn't work (just my thoughts). Doctor has now tried Buspar (is willing to try anything I want to try including Pristiq but thought this might work mmore quickly). He reviewed all my records (at my request again) and found that the things that have helped in the past included Effexor, Prozac (a very long time ago), Buspar, and Lamictal. So we decided to try Buspar again. The overall findings were that "although I have responded to meds in the past it was short-lived") Given this information, we decided to try something that would have the least amount of withdrawal symptoms when it pooped out..... I am praying that the Buspar works this time. I am thinking maybe adding 5-10 of cytomel might do the trick.... What do you think?
