Lol! While I don't doubt there is some truth in their claims, the Daily Mail is a right-wing scandal sheet that manipulates readers through fear.

If you read it on a daily basis you'd conclude that British society was breaking down and the entire world was going to hell in a handcart.

It's known for poorly-researched health stories with little grounding in fact or science. On bad-science.net it has by far the most entries of any media organisation for sketchy science, including the recent howler that "facebook gives you cancer":
